LED product sales decline, multinational will raise the import threshold

In recent years, LED industry, as a sample of national energy saving and environmental protection industry, has attracted a lot of capital. More and more domestic enterprises begin to manufacture LED lamps, which makes the market supply exceed the market demand, and the sales volume of LED products has declined significantly. At the same time, the relevant personnel of Fuzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau said that recently, many countries and regions set a higher threshold for the import of LED lamps and lanterns, which increases certain difficulties for LED lamps and lanterns enterprises trying to increase the sales volume through export. Therefore, LED lamps and lanterns enterprises must timely understand the relevant standards to avoid export risks.
In order to improve the sales volume of LED lamps, many enterprises began to choose to export lamps. However, recently, many countries have raised the import threshold of LED lamps. It can be seen that the export of LED lamps is not easy.
It is understood that from September 1, the EU's ecological design requirements for directional lights, LED lights and related equipment officially entered the first stage, and the energy efficiency requirements, functional requirements and information requirements of products must meet the new regulations. For example, the requirements for energy efficiency such as LED are increased by 2.5 times. From February 1, all lamps exported to the European Union need to strengthen the EMF (electromagnetic field) detection, in order to assess the impact of electromagnetic field around lighting equipment on human health. Since May 5, the new mandatory standard for LED lamps revised by the Mexican economic department has come into effect. The standard has made detailed requirements for the minimum energy efficiency requirements, classification, test procedures, labeling and market supervision of LED lamps for outdoor use. On the luminous flux mark, the total luminous flux of all outdoor lamps shall not be less than 90% of the standard value on the product mark. The standard also requires that the power factor of all outdoor LED lamps should not be less than 0.9, and the total harmonic distortion should not exceed 20%.
Although many countries have raised the import standards of LED lamps and lanterns, it is not so difficult for China's LED lamp manufacturers to export LED lamps and lanterns as long as they produce according to international standards. Industry insiders believe that led lamp manufacturers should enhance their awareness of quality risk, design and manufacture products in strict accordance with the standards of importing countries, and do not blindly follow the requirements of customers to avoid losing big things for small things; At the same time, we should pay close attention to the industry trends of other countries, establish channels and mechanisms for obtaining foreign standards and technical trade measures, do a good job in standard collection, and be familiar with the normative requirements of new standards.
